Boston mayor Thomas Menino and New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg on the set of an anti-illegal gun commercial set to air regionally — not nationally — during the Super Bowl. “A New York-Boston Super Bowl is a perfect opportunity for the mayors to talk about fixing the nation’s broken background check system that allows criminals and dangerous people to buy guns illegally,” says a mayoral spokesman.
