Bassist Daryl Jones fleshed out the framework from below, while drummer Charlie Watts gave them all a hard kick from behind, setting the music in bracing motion. Together, it created the sleekest possible vehicle for singer Mick Jagger to ride. It also provided the best explanation for how the fifty-year old Stones could take the stage at Barclays Center on Saturday and sound so spry.”
