Anyone else notice this happen? Two weeks ago, right before Community started, we caught a glimpse of the set of NBC Nightly News, with Brian Williams nonchalantly sitting at the anchor desk while the crew — and medical correspondent Nancy Snyderman — sang a song behind him.

Anyone know what was going on?

Anyone know what was going on?

Not only was this whole bit awesome, but it gets bonus points for the black-and-white photo of Bruce Lee trying to grab Brian Williams’s ass.

“The people of North Dakota, the Occupy Wall Street (protestors), the people of Syria — their concerns, their hearts are all aligned very similarly. How can you not be moved by that? And while the percussion circles make good fodder for fun,I have great respect for what they are trying to accomplish — or at least the frustration that they are expressing.”

JON STEWART, responding to Rock Center host Brian Williams asking him if he’s been too “tough” on the protesters in his coverage of Occupy Wall Street.

Anyone who interprets the coverage of OWS on The Daily Show and The Colbert Report as mocking is kind of missing the point.  Besides the time Stewart told the Occupy protestor not to shit on a cop car, of course.

Ann Curry, fill-in anchor Brian Williams, and fill-in anchor Brian Williams’s big-ass cup of coffee.

Brian Will.I.Ams slow jams the news. This should always happen.

…and if you look closely, Brian Williams is running behind New York 1 business anchor Annika Pergament’s desk.

Heh.

Of note: Brian Williams running into the newsroom and yelling “Hey, CNBC - Nightly News rules!!!” is fucking hilarious, because this scene wasn’t shot at CNBC, rather at New York 1, New York City’s 24-hour newschannel.
