This is a screenshot from the promo for the forthcoming The Social Network, apparently showing a real page from the website for “Eliot House,” a residence for upperclassmen at Harvard.  And if you go to that URL shown on screen, it does take you to Eliot House’s site - but to a dead page.
Also, the film starts in fall 2003, but Mozilla didn’t release Firefox 1.0 until Nov. 2004, so hmmm…
Still - sticklers for detail, these filmmakers seem to be.  I’d expect nothing less from Aaron Sorkin.

  1. auz said: It could be one of firefox’s earlier incarnations or just the mozilla suite. I’ve been using firefox since it was named pheonix and that was out in 2002
