This is a screenshot from the promo for the forthcoming The Social Network, apparently showing a real page from the website for “Eliot House,” a residence for upperclassmen at Harvard. And if you go to that URL shown on screen, it does take you to Eliot House’s site - but to a dead page.
Also, the film starts in fall 2003, but Mozilla didn’t release Firefox 1.0 until Nov. 2004, so hmmm…
Still - sticklers for detail, these filmmakers seem to be. I’d expect nothing less from Aaron Sorkin.

It could be one of firefox’s earlier incarnations or just the mozilla suite. I’ve been using firefox since it was named pheonix and that was out in 2002

The icon theme on the web browser looks more like early Netscape, so it may not be Firefox 1.0, but that’s just a guess. :)
